Karyn Keating

Karyn Keating, DPT, CSCS started her academic career at Gettysburg College where she received her B.A. in Health and Exercise Science. Karyn then built her own business as a personal trainer in NYC with credentials from the NSCA as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). During this time she worked with many athletes including marathon runners, triathletes, skiers, soccer players and golfers.

As Karyn grew professionally she continued her academic career at New York University where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and received both the Elizabeth C. Addoms Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence and the Samuel Ashborn Service and Leadership Award from NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education.

Karyn is now specializing in orthopedics and continues to bring the latest and most effective rehabilitation programs to her patients through evidence based practice and continuing education, including courses taught through the Institute of Physical Art and the Osteopathic Medicine Program of Michigan State University.

During her time in NYC, Karyn has joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training marathon and triathlon teams. She is currently an active member of the New York Road Runners, has recently joined the North Brooklyn Runners Group and enjoys playing golf and skiing.
